Family roots

Well before I started on the ancestor road, I loved learning about our history and always thought it’d be nice to have an Australian explorer ancestor.

I had no idea where my family roots came from except for Prussia or Poland or Germany. And that was because of my long surname that ended with ‘ski’.

I realised that I wouldn’t’ be able to find out much because of the ‘iron curtain’ in Europe so I did feel like a bit of a drifter.

I met a family who had a set of silver cutlery and with it was a brilliant bit of history about an Australian explorer ancestor.
